For over 35 years, Castleoak has specialised in developing, designing, and building homes so people in later life can live well today and into the future.

We believe the physical spaces in which we live can aid our health and wellbeing, and enable us to live longer and more fulfilling lives. As such, we have built over 200 care home and later living projects, delivering 10,500+ care beds to local communities. And we’re firm believers that buildings should deliver financial and environmental sustainability that last a lifetime, both for those who live and grow older in them and those who operate and invest in them.

We work with a number of partner organisations to drive innovation in the care sector, including working in an advisory role in setting standards for retirement communities through our membership and participation in the ARCO Advisory Council as its only strategic developer member. We are also founding partners of Care England, the leading representative body for independent care services in England. Working with social impact funder Bridges Fund Management, we created Birchgrove, an assisted living initiative with a unique rental model for the over 80’s, and the CarePlaces Fund, to attract and educate about investment opportunities in the growing care sector.
