CACE (Cumbernauld Action on Care of the Elderly) is a small charity operating in North Lanarkshire since 1990. We help to prevent loneliness and social isolation in older people through a range of groups and activities. This in turn has a positive impact on wellbeing which increases the potential for people to maximise their independence for longer. Our activities include befriending, daycare, activity groups including Sporting Memories groups, Men’s shed and Sheila shed, tea dances and outings. We facilitate inclusion through the provision of door to door transport using our community transport minibuses.
